Chef Francis Derby offers a killer tasting menu inspired by America's favorite psychopath; enjoy as the story unfolds on the big screen.
“[American Psycho] brilliantly captures the culinary culture of the time from the competition of scoring a table at top restaurants like the fictional Dorsia, to the introduction of international flavors." Francis Derby, Chef
New York's Francis Derby (wd~50, Momofuku Ssäm Bar) is kicking off Nitehawk Cinema's Food Feature series on February 7th with a dangerously delicious menu inspired by the novel-turned-movie classic American Psycho.
Chef Derby is among the most exciting chefs at the moment. For this unique dinner he has crafted dishes that reflect his innovative approach to cooking as each course touches upon the themes of the film and the era from which it takes place. The six-course menu pays homage to a stuffier nouveau haute cuisine that was popular during the Wall Street boom of the 1980’s.
Sit back as the lights dim and watch the disturbing story of a Manhattan investment banker by day, serial killer by night, unfold on the big screen. Each course will be served at specific moments during the movie when food is mentioned adding a third dimension to your theater experience. This will be a "dinner and a movie" night out like no other.
