First, we want to wish you and yours the happiest of New Years and a 2014 filled with deliciousness and culinary discovery.
There is no good segue; it is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Underground Eats is shutting down operations. Our small team has worked tirelessly over the last two years to bring our vibrant community of food explorers more than 400 ephemeral and exciting culinary experiences.
When we first began, the nascent scene of supper clubs, pop-ups, culinary tours, tastings, and classes was an off-the-radar trendlet waiting to pop. In the two years since, the number of options has exploded and the creativity of the culinary community is on full display, offering an endless stream of thrilling food and boundary-pushing experiences. We are, and have been proud to be a part of this community, and humbled to have been a force in popularizing the movement.
We need to thank our members and our extended family of chefs, venues, producers, sponsors, artisanal producers, clients, conspirators, contributors, writers, employees, and our families that have shared our vision and enthusiasm, and produced more memories, full bellies and joyous memories than even we thought possible.
While this is “goodbye” for now, as we always say, “keep your ear to the Underground” and stay up-to-date with our various feeds (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest), because you never know when we will re-emerge from the underground from whence we came, to blow your minds and fill wanton stomachs again.
If you have any questions, propositions, want to share a memory, or just say hi, please reach out and we promise to get back to you. Simply email us.
Until we eat again...
